I’m desperately awaiting the release of Anberlin’s new record, New Surrender (September 30th). I watched the live acoustic video of their first ever performance of Bittersweet Memory (one of their new songs) on YouTube, and I just couldn’t help but watch the video over and over… and over again (Stephen Christian’s voice is just beyond incredible; I could listen to his voice forever, seriously). Although I am slightly jealous of all those people in Seattle that got the very first listen; I’m so glad to know that Anberlin’s change of record label and record producers hasn’t tarnished their ability to make absolutely amazing music. Even with that, I had a sudden “freak-out” when I found out that Stephen’s laptop was stolen earlier this year; so I’m glad everything is on track for Anberlin. As for the record, New Surrender, I’m pretty certain it’s going to be absolutely amazing, and I really hope they’ll be coming back to Australia to tour again; because frankly, I miss them, and I often wish I was back at the Corner Hotel listening to Stephen Christian sing The Unwinding Cable Car. So as I snap out of my little dream, New Surrender, Anberlin’s new record comes out September 30th. I can’t wait!
